Benton County Case Flow

Benton County Circuit Divisions

Benton County Judicial District
Benton County Circuit Court is the 21st Judicial District. Its courthouse is at 120 NW 4th Street in downtown Corvallis, near the District Attorney, Sheriff's Office, and Benton County Jail. Official hours are 8:00 a.m.-Noon and 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays. The courthouse is an unusually important part of Benton County court history. OJD states the land was donated by Joseph and Martha Avery and William and Julia Dixon, co-founders of Marysville, later Corvallis. Portland architect Delos D. Neer designed the building, which was constructed in 1888-1889 and cost less than $70,000 with furnishings. Judge R.S. Bean presided over the first Circuit Court session in the new courthouse on November 4, 1889.
