Why We Built This Site
Oregon gives the public broad access to many nonexempt public records, but Benton County records are not all filed in the same place. Benton County Circuit Court is the 21st Judicial District and handles state trial court case files from the courthouse at 120 NW 4th Street in Corvallis. Corvallis, Philomath, and Monroe Municipal Courts may hold city traffic, parking, municipal-code, and local misdemeanor records. Benton County Records & Elections handles real property recording, marriage licenses, domestic partnerships, dog licenses, passports, elections, and Property Value Appeal Board work from the Kalapuya Building at 4500 SW Research Way.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to Benton County Circuit Court, the Oregon Judicial Department, Benton County Records & Elections, Benton County Sheriff's Office, any municipal court, or any state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:
- We cannot file paperwork or send records requests on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any court document, marriage record, recording, or vital-style local record
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific Oregon case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, address, or public access rule listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing Oregon court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right Benton County office, but the document has to come from that office.
Search Partners
Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing and run their own services. When you use one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep this Benton County reference site free for visitors. We do not control what those tools charge, what shows up in their results, or how those results compare with official Oregon court and county records.
